Pioneering Gender Equality at WEConnect International Day

23 June 2016

mdgroup are proud to be joining corporations from around the globe in Orlando on Monday, 20th June for the WEConnect International Day and 22nd-23rd June.

These events and their commitment to equality are close to our hearts, as mdgroup founder Miriam sits on the WEConnect European Council, discussing and shaping the future for women in business.

What is WEConnect?

WEConnect International is a global business network dedicated to raising awareness of gender and equality issues, as well as helping women in business find the training and connections they need to succeed internationally.

Focussing on businesses that are at least 51% owned and managed by women, WEConnect encourages business growth through supplier diversity and inclusion programs, in line with Women’s Business Enterprise standards that are recognised by major global corporations.

What is WEConnect International Day?

WEConnect International day is the opening event for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Conference and Business Fair, and will welcome women business owners from across the globe to discuss and discover opportunities for business growth, as well as spreading the word about the benefits of supplier diversity.

How are we involved?

As well as proudly holding the WEConnect Seal of Certification, connecting us to diverse and equal-opportunities corporations across the globe, mdevents is closely linked to WEConnect through Miriam’s involvement on the European Council. We are excited to attend the International Day and make connections with like-minded women-led businesses. We will also remain in Orlando for the WBENC National Conference and Business Fair, at which we will be networking with WBE Corporate Members and business fair exhibitors, as well as getting involved in the one-to-one MatchMaker event.

If you’ll be attending the conference, we’d love to meet you and work together to increase opportunities for diversity and gender equality around the world!
